Calculate cement bags, sand, and aggregate needed for concrete work. Standard mix ratios (1:2:4, 1:1.5:3, 1:3:6) with cost estimate.
| Mix Ratio | Use Case | Strength |
|---|---|---|
| 1:1.5:3 | Heavy load — beams, columns in tall buildings | M-25 (High) |
| 1:2:4 | Standard RCC — slabs, beams, columns | M-20 (Standard) |
| 1:3:6 | Foundation, PCC, non-structural | M-15 (Mid) |
| 1:4:8 | Mass concrete, lean mix | M-10 (Low) |
Ratios are cement : sand : aggregate. Higher cement = stronger concrete. Use higher strength for structural elements.
±5% accuracy for standard mix ratios. Actual quantity may vary based on aggregate size, water content, mixing method. Add 5-10% wastage allowance.
PCC (Plain Cement Concrete) — concrete without reinforcement, used for foundations/leveling. RCC (Reinforced Cement Concrete) — concrete with steel reinforcement, used for structural members.
Water-cement ratio typically 0.45-0.55. For 1 bag cement: ~22-27 liters water. Excess water weakens concrete; too little prevents proper hydration.
